Carl Manlan x TEDxVillagedelaFrancophonie – THE RESILIENT CHANGEMAKER

Carl Manlan’s TED talk, “The Resilient Changemaker,” discusses the concept of “grounded development in the ‘Africa We Have'” as a fundamental premise for achieving the “Africa We Want.” He emphasizes the importance of building prosperity for the majority of African citizens by focusing on the popular economy and valuing the creativity of African citizens as their currency. 

Manlan, a development practitioner, has worked at the intersection of public, private, and civil society sectors, contributing to health financing and supporting policies for Africa’s transformation. He also led an initiative to support the African Union’s response to Ebola in West Africa. The talk was presented at TEDxVillagedelaFrancophonie.
